
FIGURE SKATING
Skills, Tests, Achievement, Recognition – this is what STARSKATE is all about!
The mainstay of Canadian figure skating for over 40 years, STARSKATE offers opportunities for skaters of all ages to develop fundamental figure skating skills: ice dance, skating skills, free skating, artistic skating. This program offers group and private lesson format, teaching figure skating skills in a progressive and sequential manner.
INTROSTAR
Formerly called Fast Track, IntroSTAR is an accelerated program for identified skaters in Canskate, STAGE 1-4. Skater must be recommended to this program by a professional coach. 1-2x/week commitment. Lessons are taught by a Skate Canada Professional coach in a small group setting. All lessons fees are paid separately to the admin coach. Ice fees are paid to the club.
Mondays: 5:45-7:30pm
Saturdays: 1:00-2:00pm
STAR 1
A figure skating program focussed on tests and competition. Skaters must have passed the complete STAGE 4 Canskate badge. STAR 1 sessions will be coached in a group format, like IntroSTAR, unless sufficient coaches are available. All group lessons fees are paid separately to the admin coach. Ice fees are paid to the club. *Skaters are required to retain a professional coach for private/semi-private lessons/small group lessons on an alternate session. Arrangements are made between parents and coach including payments. 1-2x/week commitment.

STAR 2-4
A figure skating program focussed on tests and competition. 2-4x/week commitment including off-ice classes. Skaters must have passed the Skate Canada STAR 1 freeskate test. (Skaters that skated STAR 1-3 in 2021/22 that do not qualify, can be grandfathered into the session) Skaters must retain a private lesson coach.
Mondays: 5:45-6:45pm, extra general 4:55-5:45pm
Wednesdays: 6:00-7:20pm
Saturdays: 11:50-2:10pm
STAR 3-GOLD (Friday only)
An advanced figure skating program focussed on tests and competition. 1x/week commitment. Skaters must have passed the Skate Canada STAR 3 freeskate test. (Skaters that skated on Star 3-Gold in 2021/22 that do not qualify can be grandfathered into the session) Skaters must retain a private lesson coach.
Fridays: 4:40-6:10pm
STAR 5-GOLD
An advanced figure skating program focussed on tests and competition. 2-4x/week commitment including off-ice classes. Skaters must have passed the Skate Canada STAR 4 freeskate test. (Skaters that skated on Star 4-Gold in 2021/22 that do not qualify can be grandfathered into the session) Skaters must retain a private lesson coach
Mondays: 4:40-5:45pm, 5:45-6:45 extra general
Wednesdays: 6:15-9:00pm
Fridays: 4:40-6:10pm
Saturdays: 9:20-1:00pm
